School Board Members Weisheyer and Thacker Earn Key Positions Within Florida School Boards Association
With two School Board members in key positions within the Florida School Boards Association (FSBA), the Osceola School District will have a strong voice in the organization's statewide advocacy and leadership efforts. Osceola County District 3 School Board Member Tim Weisheyer has been elected to FSBA's Board of Directors, and Osceola County District 4 School Board Member Clarence Thacker has been appointed as the Vice-Chair of FSBA's Legislative Committee.
"We welcome Mr. Weisheyer's business experience, vision, and calm demeanor to our Board of Directors," said Andrea Messina, Executive Director of FSBA. "Serving as a Director on our Board is an important role in our organization and one that has direct impact on our direction and decision-making."
"Mr. Thacker was asked to serve as Legislative Committee Vice-Chair because FSBA recognizes that his passion and knowledge will help us gain traction on our legislative agenda," said Messina. "For many School Board members, serving as Vice-Chair of a committee is the beginning of a long-term commitment to statewide leadership in our organization."
