St. Cloud High Principal Nate Fancher Selected As State Leadership Facilitator By Florida Department of Education
Nate Fancher, Principal of St. Cloud High School in Osceola County, has been selected by the Florida Department of Education as one of only 45 school leaders in the state to become a facilitator for its prestigious Commissioner's Leadership Academy. Fancher will lead colleagues across the state in focused professional development on how to identify high-quality instruction, to provide targeted feedback for teacher growth, and to engage others in conversations centered around teaching and learning. Fancher and Nadia Winston, Principal of Westside K-8, are Osceola's most recent graduates of the Commissioner's Leadership Academy.
"I feel extremely lucky to have been able to participate in the Commissioner’s Leadership Academy and now to be selected as a facilitator," said Fancher. "Professional leadership and faculty development continues to be a priority for schools and districts. Developing our ability to support teachers' growth with targeted feedback that is actionable, substantial, and timely was a key objective of the Academy. I have and will continue to share this growth model with other administrators within and outside our school district."
