School Board Member Ricky Booth Hosts Top Ten Student Breakfast For High Schools In St. Cloud
In order to give high school juniors at the top of their class a "leg up" in the college application process, Osceola County School Board member Ricky Booth hosted a networking breakfast for the top ten students from the junior class from Harmony High and St. Cloud High. In attendance were Representative Mike LaRosa, Osceola County Commissioner Fred Hawkins, Superintendent Melba Luciano, and staff from Senator Marco Rubio's office. Officials made the most of the valuable networking time to meet and to get to know the students in attendance. The students were encouraged to request letters of recommendation for colleges and scholarships from those civic leaders in attendance as an important part of the application process.
"Our top students can compete with any in nation," said Osceola County School Board Member Ricky Booth. "I am committed to helping them achieve their goals. It was an honor to meet these outstanding students and their parents."
