On February 12, 2016, the Florida Department of Education released preliminary school grades for Osceola County's elementary, middle, and K-8 public schools:

• 89% of Osceola schools maintained or showed an increase in their school grades. 

    • 11% of Osceola schools saw a decrease in their letter grade from last year to this year.

    • Osceola School District's percentage of A, B, and C schools is at 91%.

    • Osceola School District's percentage of D and F schools is at 9%.

    • Osceola's preliminary reported district letter grade increased to a B from a C.

    "These outstanding results reflect a tremendous amount of hard work by teachers, students, and our entire school community," said Superintendent Melba Luciano. "Our teachers have embraced the expanded professional development opportunities that have been offered during the day and after hours to meet individual student needs. The movement of our district letter grade to a 'B' is a testament to the true dedication and commitment everyone in the Osceola School District has to the core belief that all children will learn."
