Tutoring

Varsity Tutors - Reminder about free tutoring resource for students

Our district has partnered with Varsity Tutors again this year to provide unlimited, live support from highly qualified tutors, self-study resources, and engaging extracurricular classes.

When students need help with homework or are struggling to solve a problem, they can immediately chat with a tutor, 24/7, to get the help they need. Students can take practice tests and follow personal lesson plans for guided self-study. They can also sign up for expert-led live classes, and learn subjects like Geometry, Middle School Math, Elementary School Reading and more. All students are enabled to access the Varsity Tutors platform via Classlink.

The comprehensive platform integrates interactive study tools, collaborative workspaces, and dynamic tutoring resources including:

  • 24/7 On-Demand Chat Tutoring
  • On-Demand Essay Review
  • Live Enrichment and Remediation Classes
  • SAT and ACT Test Prep Classes
  • Celebrity-Led StarCourse Classes
  • Self Study Resources
  • College & Career Readiness Resources
  • Adaptive Assessments & Personalized Learning Plans
  • Recorded Enrichment Classes

My School Bucks Information

To help keep students in class and avoid unnecessary office visits, we ask that families use the attached MSB Support Guide when access issues come up. This guide includes easy step-by-step instructions and customer service contact information to help resolve most problems quickly.
In many cases, issues with MSB can be fixed by contacting customer service directly—often within minutes. Since staff cannot always assist over the phone or see what parents are viewing, using the guide and reaching out to MSB support is the fastest and most effective option.
Thank you for your support in keeping our students focused and learning!

Turbulence Control 🚨

Student Services Update

As a reminder, water guns are not allowed on campus or in the school parking lot at any time. Any student found with a water gun on campus or in the parking lot may face serious disciplinary action from the school and law enforcement. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Image with water pouring and text: Water guns are NEVER permitted on campus or in the parking lot for any reason.

Safety Law and Liability

Due to safety laws and liability, students wanting to leave school before the end of the day must be signed out by an adult on their contact list in Focus, even if the student drives and is 18 years old. Only students legally emancipated from their parents in a court of law can sign themselves out in the state of FL.
Enrolling parent or guardian MUST come in person to submit the Student Information & Emergency Contact Update. You can pick up a form in the Front Office.

Counselor's Corner

Connect with a Counselor 🌻

Students can connect with their school counselor during their lunch period. Counselors will be stationed at the auditorium lobby on the cafeteria side each week (Monday through Thursday), so that students can ask questions and get help. Please check out the one-pager below for Counselor Caseloads, which includes their days down at lunch.

Out-of-Field Teachers

For the 2025-2026 school year, we would like to inform you that some of our dedicated teachers are currently teaching subjects for which they do not yet hold the required certifications. However, they are actively working towards obtaining the necessary certifications or endorsements to enhance their qualifications in these areas. We appreciate their commitment to professional growth and ensuring the best educational experience for our students.

Prioritizing Safety for All Students

FortifyFL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows individuals to submit tips concerning unsafe, potentially harmful, dangerous, violent, or criminal activities and threats. That information goes immediately and directly to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials.
The app was developed by former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, the Florida Department of Education and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

You can download the app on your mobile device or submit tips on your desktop computer at www.getfortifyfl.com. You can leave contact information but can also report anonymously, if you prefer.
